Biography

Dr. Clifford Seran, associate professor-in-residence, joined the School of Dental Medicine’s Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency program during the fall of 2005 as a full-time faculty member. He has been the course director for many orthodontic specific courses, and has devoted significant time during clinical instruction. He also served as program director from 2006 to 2012, and has been a member of numerous thesis committees for orthodontic residents.

Dr. Seran earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and his doctor of dental medicine and certification in orthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Seran practiced orthodontics in New Jersey for 33 years, and served as the core orthodontist on the Craniofacial Team at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.  He received the International Award from the American Dental Association for his service with Operation Smile, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and a fellow of the American College of Dentists.
