Biography

Christina Clignett, an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), is an assistant professor in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).

With more than 20 years of experience working in women’s health, Clignett has worked in California as a labor/delivery nurse, nurse manager, nursing director, lead nurse practitioner, and has taught in college and university nursing programs.

Originally from Los Angeles, Clignett holds a doctorate in nursing practice degree from Touro University and graduated from the Harbor University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Phoenix and received the “Seed of Excellence” and “Value in Action” awards from Glendale Memorial Hospital in California for being an excellent collaborator and provider.

A strong believer in health education, disease prevention, and health promotion, Clignett has a particular interest in the care of adolescents and young women.
