Technology Coordinator - Curriculum and Instruction
Chris Ekroos has a rich and diverse professional background including specialized experience in the field of medical forensic services for large multi-site health systems, clinics, government entities, and non-profit organizations. This specialized experience is bolstered by a background in psychology, business, and project management. After living and teaching abroad and working with professionals who serve populations affected by violence, Ekroos realized that technology is integral to finding human solutions to addressing health disparities, enhancing education for adult learners, and developing strong organizational foundations.
At the UNLV School of Medicine (SOM), Ekroos is part of the IT Academic Support team and works closely with the SOM Curriculum Team, where he delivers on his commitment to innovative and sustainable solutions. He is responsible for administration of the SOM’s fully integrated enterprise system (LCMS+) for managing the medical education program. Ekroos supports informed decision making by collaborating with team members and contributing to the IT Academic Support Team’s solution development activities.
Outside of the SOM, Ekroos is a life-long learner, strives for work-life integration, and is committed to making a difference within his community.
