Carlene was born and raised in San Diego, CA, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Management at San Diego State University. Throughout her undergrad, Carlene was a student worker in the SDSU Housing Office, and this is where her love for working in higher education began. When her husband accepted a Civil Engineering position in Las Vegas in 2019, they relocated and Carlene began her journey at UNLV as an Administrative Assistant at the Engineering Advising Center (so she may already be a familiar face!) She is excited to be a part of the Rebel family and start on her path as an Academic Advisor! Outside of the office, Carlene loves cooking and baking, spending time with her family, traveling with her husband, exploring new places to eat, and playing with their dog, Dash.
