Brenda Lopez is a surgical skills and testing specialist. Having 17 years of experience in the medical field, she is the primary technician for residents who are practicing surgical lab skills, including proctoring fundamentals of endoscopic surgery (FES) and fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery (FLS) exams.

Prior to joining the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Office of Graduate Medical Education, Brenda spent six years working as a clinical simulation specialist at the Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas and six years at the Oquendo Center (Viticus) as a lab technician, setting up labs and working closely with medical device companies.
