Brad R. Woods is the executive director of UNLV's Office of Research Integrity as well as UNLV's research integrity officer. In his roles, he is responsible for the leadership, management, and coordination of the administration, monitoring, and assessment of a range of research integrity and compliance functions.

Prior to joining UNLV, Woods was the associate director of the Research Integrity and Compliance Review Office at Colorado State University (CSU); served as director of CSU’s conflict of interest program; and was an affiliate faculty member in the department of sociology, where he actively taught courses related to his expertise. While at CSU, Woods also developed and taught the graduate course Ethical Issues in Big Data Research.

Woods graduated from The Pennsylvania State University (PSU) in 2010 with a dual-title doctoral degree in rural sociology and human dimensions of natural resources and the environment. Upon graduating from PSU, Woods was a research ethics educator and member of the graduate faculty. He also worked to assist in the development and management of PSU’s scholarship and research integrity program. His research and teaching interests involve the impact of natural resource extraction and dependence on small and isolated communities. More recently, he has explored the public understanding of science and science communication.
