Beth Lano

Biography
Beth Lano brings more 30 years of strategic communications, public relations and writing expertise to her role as Marketing/ Public Relations Director for the UNLV School of Music. She is responsible for all public relations and marketing efforts for the School of Music, coordinating with the Director of Communications at the College of Fine Arts to ensure thorough attention to the people, programs and accomplishments of the school’s faculty, students and staff.
A classically-trained horn player, Lano has maintained a successful career as a musician while working with several different Southern Nevada businesses and agencies as a marketing, advertising and public relations professional. She is currently associate principal horn with the Las Vegas Philharmonic, and is an active freelancer and private horn instructor.
Previously, Lano also worked as a radio personality; co-hosting a morning-drive radio program and later moving to Nevada Public Radio, where she was an on-air talent and producer for KNPR-FM. She works as a voice actor, and can be heard in radio, television and digital advertisements worldwide.
Lano was educated at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana (Music performance and communications) and Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana (Music performance).
