Art Meyers has been a faculty member for 33 years and is currently the Nuclear Medicine program director. He teaches 11 different courses within the department of Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences including introductory classes in medical imaging and radiation safety. Meyers’s major responsibilities are the coordination of 10 nuclear medicine facility sites for student clinical rotations, and teaching the vast majority of nuclear medicine courses. He has been an active member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, serving on several national boards, and a site visitor for the nuclear medicine accreditation board for more than 20 years.
Meyers earned his Ed.D from UNLV, his master’s from Florida Atlantic University and Florida International University, and his bachelor’s from Buffalo University in New York.
