Anne Hanson has over 20 years of professional human resources experience in a variety of industries - hospitality and gaming, retail, events and expositions, transportation, and logistics. She has held executive director and vice president level positions with prestigious organizations including Hilton Hotels, Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts, and GES.
In addition to her professional experience, Anne earned a bachelor of commerce degree, with honors, From the University of British Columbia, Canada. Anne is currently enrolled in the Boyd School of Law and expects to graduate with her J.D. in May 2022. As a student, Anne is a member of Boyd’s Society of Advocates and the Notes Editor for the Gaming Law Journal.
Anne has been active in the community throughout her career. In addition to serving on the ARC Board of Opportunity Village and the UNLV Harrah Hotel College Advisory Board, Anne was a volunteer mediator at the Neighborhood Justice Center for many years. She also served the community as a foreclosure mediator during the recent housing crisis.
Anne was trained in facilitative mediation. Facilitative mediation is adaptable and, therefore, suitable in a variety of situations. Using this approach, Anne promotes open dialogue between parties, assists them in uncovering their interests and finding commonality. Anne has found this approach to be most effective in assisting parties in reaching mutually beneficial solutions and in building productive long-term relationships.
