Biography

Addison Sorca is a CSUN Senator representing the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and plans to pursue a Master’s after graduation. As a senator, Addison has helped approve funding for numerous RSOs and fought for issues on campus relating to Title IX enforcement, mental health, transportation, resident welfare, student safety, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

A native Las Vegan and second-generation Filipino-American immigrant, Addison has spent his entire life in the Las Vegas community. In middle school he was part of the student council and junior honor society. Outside of UNLV, a love for public service pushed him into serving in the Nevada Army National Guard since 2018 as a transmissions operator.

He is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and the cofounder of a Registered Student Organization on campus. In his free time, Addison likes to bike, draw, write, watch YouTube videos, and hang out with friends. His interests include animation, trivia, technology, civics, urbanism, and art.

He has a fascination and enthusiasm for the Nevada government and hopes to eventually effect real change in the state.
