In 1987, the Performing Arts Center began to diversify its concert selections, presenting more than just the best in classical music, bringing in various artists from all the performing arts disciplines. Two new series, The Best of the New York Stage and the World Stage, were conceived in 1999 to answer the continuing need for more popular music and more diversity in programming. In 2004, we combined these two series to create the New York Stage & Beyond series. Now, the UNLV Performing Arts Center produces concerts that simply showcase the best in the performing arts from around the world.
