Participate in the Summer Transition Series
The Summer Transition Series is hosted by UNLV staff and students and features a variety of virtual and on-campus programs. This series will cover topics from campus resources and academic enrichment to student involvement and campus recreation. You'll even be able to participate in workshops about paying for college, attend Q&A sessions, learn about housing and residential life, explore campus during UNLV Bound 2021 or UNLV Connect, and so much more.
On-Campus Transition Events
UNLV Bound 2021 (Fall 2021 Incoming First-Year Students)
Offered every Saturday from July 17 - August 14
This is an exclusive on-campus program designed for incoming fall 2021 Rebels. Space is limited so register today!
During this event, you will:
- Take a guided tour and explore campus and our residence halls
- Hear more about financial aid and meet 1:1 with a financial aid counselor
- Check out involvement opportunities to make the most of your UNLV experience
- Enjoy lunch at the UNLV Dining Commons
- Meet future Rebel classmates
- Receive exclusive Rebel swag
- Pick up your RebelCard
- Optional COVID-19 vaccines will be available for those interested
This event does not replace New Student Orientation attendance. All incoming first-year students are required to complete a virtual new student orientation session to receive their fall semester course schedule. If you have not yet registered, be sure to reserve your session as soon as possible.
UNLV Connect (Fall 2020 First-Year Students)
Offered every Saturday from July 17 - August 14
The time has finally come! This exclusive on-campus program is designed for Rebels who started their journey at UNLV during the fall 2020 semester. Space is limited so register today!
During this event, you will:
- Take a guided tour and explore campus and our residence halls
- Hear more about financial aid and meet 1:1 with a financial aid counselor
- Learn about career pathways after graduation
- Enjoy lunch at the UNLV Dining Commons
- Understand how to get involved and make the most of your UNLV experience
- Connect with fellow classmates
- Optional COVID-19 vaccines will be available for those interested
Virtual Events
New students are strongly encouraged to attend both a Student Life & Community virtual event and a Student Support & Academic Enrichment virtual event. When you fill out a survey after each of these two events, you'll be entered into a drawing for a scholarship.
These sessions do not replace New Student Orientation attendance. All incoming first-year students are required to complete a virtual orientation session in order to receive their fall semester course schedule. If you have not registered for a virtual orientation, be sure to reserve your session as soon as possible.

Offered every other Friday (May-August)
This session focuses on campus life and the benefits of involvement, student diversity, and finding your sense of belonging at UNLV. It will also include a student panel and breakout sessions followed by a virtual fair featuring our student organizations highlighting their involvement opportunities! Breakout sessions will include:

This session focuses on the importance of earning a degree, having a mentor, managing your time, and maintaining wellness. It will also include a student panel, breakout sessions, and a virtual fair. Breakout sessions will include:

Housing and Residential Life

All incoming students with the On-Campus Housing Requirement are expected to attend this session.
Living on campus this fall? Join us to learn more about life on campus, housing and dining options, roommate selection, preparing for move-in day, and more! Our housing and dining staff will be available to answer any questions.
Housing and Dining Options at UNLV
Offered every other Monday (June-August)
UNLV is proud to offer multiple options for living on campus that will maximize your college experience. This session will discuss traditional residence hall living with UNLV Housing and apartment style living with The UDistrict. UNLV Dining will also present the various meal plans available to students.
Paying for College Series
Offered every other Wednesday (May-August)
This is an important series that covers a wide range of topics over the summer. We recommend that you attend as many as possible to stay on top of your financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Sessions will include:
