We are excited to welcome Sigrid Barrett, Ph.D., RN, PNP, CNE, FAAN, into her new role as dean of the School of Nursing. Barrett joins the school with years of experience as a nurse practitioner specializing in acute and chronic pediatric care. Before joining UNLV, she spent nearly 10 years at the University of Alabama’s School of Nursing.
In 2020, she was recognized for her leadership in nursing as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Barrett has held several leadership roles with the Philippine Nurses Association and was one of the Alabama Chapter's founding members and president.
