UNLV to Ring Clock Tower Bell in Remembrance of Oct. 1

In remembrance of the impact the 1 October tragedy had on our university, UNLV will ring the bell of the clock tower at 11:20 a.m. on the academic mall on the UNLV Maryland Parkway campus to honor the now 60 victims who perished.

Faculty, staff, students, and guests are encouraged to pause for a moment of silence during this time, especially if you are on campus and near the academic mall. The bell will ring once for each victim and the tones are expected to last five minutes. The event will not be streamed live as there is no formal program.
