Stop the Bleed Training

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a local call to action. Bystanders are always the first people that can assist during an emergency. The minutes waiting for an emergency responder to arrive can be the difference between life and death; so, it is critical for those nearest to be able to assist.

The office of risk management and safety (RMS) will be hosting a Stop the Bleed training class for UNLV faculty, staff, and students on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m., in HOS, Room 136. Training is free, but the experience is invaluable!

RMS will be deploying 105 Stop the Bleed kits at most AED/first aid stations located at the main UNLV campus, the Shadow Lane campus, and Nevada State College. Knowing how to use these kits will help students, staff and faculty Be RebelSAFE and may save a life!

Have questions about the program or upcoming training? Please feel free to contact Corey Boynak via email or at ext. 5-2363. Registration is required. To register, contact Boynak or Vanessa Hogan.
