Retirement of Mardene Wright

Mardene Wright, assistant director at the UNLV/CSUN Preschool, is retiring after 24 years. She holds a graduate degree in special education from UNLV and had demonstrated a commitment to the College of Education. Her positions have included teacher, interim director, and assistant director at the Preschool. Mardene has an extensive career in early childhood education. She has presented statewide, nationally, and internationally on quality inclusive practices and curriculum development. She owned and operated her own school in Hawaii prior to moving to Las Vegas and becoming involved with Nevada AEYC and the Nevada Division for Early Childhood (DEC) where she served as president and board member. Mardene and her husband, Carl, will be relocating out of state this month to be close to family members. Congratulations Mardene!  Thank you for your service.
