Rebel Idea Pitch Video Contest Opens Wednesday

Please let your students know about this video contest that is open to all UNLV students. It's a competition in which students produce a two-minute video explaining an idea for a business. The idea can be in any domain, but there is a special award for software apps.

Cash prizes will be given to the winners of the People's Choice Award and the Judges' Choice Award.

Those who win the contest, if interested, can get help from students in the Lean Startups class who will perform market research on the idea. The entrant keeps ownership of the idea, but by participating will have a chance to win a mini-grant from the UNLV Lean Startups program.

Participants can begin to send in entries on Wednesday, Jan. 28, to entrepreneurship@unlv.edu. The submission deadline is 8 a.m. Feb. 6.

Winners will be announced Feb. 11.
