Planned Campus WiFi Network Outage Jan. 13

This is a reminder that a brief wireless (WiFi) network outage is planned Monday, Jan. 13 to replace network equipment that’s no longer supported by the manufacturer, which is necessary to maintain the network's performance, reliability, and security.

Campus WiFi Network Outage, 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Jan. 13

During this maintenance, eduroam, UNLV-Sponsored, and UNLV-PSK networks will be temporarily unavailable at the main campus, Shadow Lane campus, and off-campus locations. The Thomas & Mack Center and Medical Education Building won’t be impacted by this outage.

UNLV-Setup Makes Connecting to eduroam Easier

Starting Jan. 13, you’ll need to use the UNLV-Setup network when enrolling your devices for eduroam, the university’s campus WiFi. Introduced last summer to better reflect the network’s purpose, UNLV-Setup replaces UNLV-WiFi. When using UNLV-Setup, the process to set up eduroam remains the same, requiring an ACE login.

If you experience any issues connecting to campus network services, please contact the IT Help Desk. For more information, visit the WiFi network page on the UNLV IT site.
