Apple recently released Mac OS 10.15 Catalina. Catalina no longer supports 32-bit applications and users that install Catalina will no longer be able to install or run 32-bit applications.
OIT recommends that Mac users ensure that their applications are compatible with Catalina prior to upgrading.
Software that is known to not currently be compatible with Catalina includes:
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- SPSS - File access issues
- Apple Configurator
- Symantec Endpoint Protection
- VMware Fusion
- Pulse Secure VPN version older than 9.1R3. Users should download the latest version of Pulse Secure VPN, which is compatible.
