February Winner of Administrative Faculty of the Month Award

Congratulations to Aaron Mayes for receiving the Administrative Faculty of the Month Award for February 2023. Mayes is a curator for visual materials at UNLV Libraries Special Collections.

The nominator wrote:

“Aaron has exceptional project management skills and always goes the extra mile to ensure that every aspect of the project is taken care of. Aaron’s work on the “Wearing My Crown” exhibit showcased UNLV’s focus on community partnerships as Aaron worked closely with local artists, UNLV students, and systems crew to create an interactive and inclusive experience. This project provided an educational platform to discuss important issues related to race and highlighted UNLV’s commitment to promoting social justice and equity.”

The Administrative Faculty of the Month Award recognizes outstanding colleagues who go above and beyond to advance the mission of UNLV. The winning recipient receives a certificate and $150 to recognize their contributions. Nominations for the March award are due by the end of the month.
