The William S. Boyd School of Law presents a keynote by former FBI Director James Comey with a moderated discussion by former Gov. Brian Sandoval, Distinguished Fellow in Law and Leadership, on Sept. 24 at 4 p.m. with a book signing to follow. James Comey led the FBI from 2013 to 2017, appointed to the post by President Barack Obama. As director, he confronted foreign intelligence operations, mass shootings, the surge of ISIS, an opioid epidemic, and controversy over police shootings. Inside the FBI, while navigating government shutdowns, he tried to change how the agency approached leadership, diversity, and cyber threats.
