Effective January 2026, Nicholas Posson, director of Academic Operational Compliance and Reporting, will assume universitywide FERPA officer responsibilities.

Posson joined UNLV in December 2025 and oversees UNLV’s compliance with Title IV federal student aid regulations through internal audit activities, reporting, and policy development. In his role as FERPA officer, he will oversee the university’s FERPA compliance. Please direct any inquiries related to FERPA compliance or potential investigations to him.

His responsibilities also include monitoring and auditing compliance across other academic operational areas, including state authorization reciprocity agreements, professional licensure disclosures and attestations, and online education.
