Democracy Defense Project with Former Gov. Sandoval and Former Assembly Speaker Perkins Feb. 26

Join the College of Liberal Arts, Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, and the Department of Political Science on Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. in Greenspun Hall Auditorium for a talk with former Gov. Brian Sandoval and former Assembly Speaker Richard Perkins to discuss the electoral process and strategies for strengthening U.S. democracy. The Democracy Defense Project (DDP) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening trust in elections — particularly in battleground states like Nevada. The DDP is co‑chaired in Nevada by former Sandoval and Perkins.

Faculty, staff, and students can be a part of a conversation on the importance of free, fair, and secure elections, and to discuss why voters can have confidence in Nevada’s electoral process. Light refreshments will be served at 4:30 p.m.
