Deadline Approaching for Giving the Gift of Hope

The last day to sign up for the 10th annual Gift of Hope (formerly Adopt a Family) project is Monday, Nov. 25.

This year, the Jean Nidetch Women's Center (JNWC) is collecting donated goods from UNLV staff and faculty to benefit two local agencies: Rape Crisis Center and The Embracing Project. Both of these amazing Las Vegas-based programs support healing for children and youth victim-survivors of violence and sexual exploitation through advocacy, counseling, and education.

How it Works

1. If you and your family or department are interested, please email the Jean Nidetch Women's Center  JNWC@UNLV.EDU by Monday, Nov. 25, with: your name, email, number of participants within your family/department, number of people you would like to donate gifts to, department name (if applicable), and campus mail stop (if applicable).

2. You/your family or department is "assigned" a wish list from one or more children and youth.

3. You purchase new, unwrapped gifts from the wish list you're provided.

4. You deliver these gifts to JNWC in mid-December.

We encourage and welcome you to share this opportunity with colleagues. Let’s share some holiday cheer with our community!
