David Hatchett Appointed Associate Vice President for Research

David W. Hatchett has been named an associate vice president for research, effective Jan. 1. He will oversee the office of sponsored programs and the office of research integrity and help accelerate research processes important to faculty success and UNLV research goals.

For the past two and a half years, Hatchett served as executive director of research infrastructure. He will continue to oversee division research facilities, including the Science and Engineering Building, Harry Reid Center, and future multidisciplinary research facilities.

Hatchett brings more than 20 years of research and faculty experience to the position. He is a professor of chemistry and radiochemistry and has served as chair of UNLV's department of chemistry and biochemistry.
