Campus signage construction work

Please be advised that work has begun on a Campus Master Plan initiative to make all campus signage cohesive and reflective of UNLV brand standards. The work will take place in phases: 

  • Phase 1 
    • Timeline: Started February 28 and will last approximately two weeks 
    • Work: Includes removing 17 signs that will not be replaced
    • Impact: This work may result in impacts to sidewalk access along campus corridors and parking lots. 
      • Crews will strive to complete work involving concrete removal and jackhammering before 8 a.m. to minimize disruptions to teaching and work environments. 
  • Phase 2
    • Timeline: Will tentatively begin at the end of March and is estimated to be completed by June 2023
    • Work: Includes additional sign removal, updating remaining signage and installing new signage.
    • Impact:
      • A small portion of the Gray Lot will be closed off and used for storing materials
      • This work may result in impacts to sidewalk access along campus corridors and parking lots. 
        • Crews will strive to complete work involving concrete removal and jackhammering before 8 a.m. to minimize disruptions to teaching and work environments.
