Nominations currently are being accepted for representatives to serve on the UNLV Administrative Faculty Committee (AFC). AFC meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. Currently, we meet via Webex, with plans to return to in person meetings when the university deems it safe. You must generally be available for monthly meetings in order to hold a seat. (Proxies are allowed in the event you need to miss a meeting here or there).
The following seats are currently open:
- Area of Representation: Business Affairs – 1 seat available (three-year term)
- Area of Representation: UNLV Athletics – 1 seat available (three-year term)
- Area of Representation: University Libraries/Academic Success Center/Honors College/Fine Arts – 1 seat available (three-year term)

If you are interested in running for an available seat, email a completed and signed nomination form (see attached) along with a short bio to afc@unlv.edu. The deadline to submit a nomination is 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26. After we have received all nominations, if there is more than one person nominated for an area we will hold an election via Qualtrics in early March.
