Black History Month — Nominate Someone for a Black Carpet Award

The Black Carpet is designed to celebrate Black excellence in the UNLV and Las Vegas communities.  This event will take place in late February on a date to be determined. The office of student diversity and social justice would appreciate your taking the time to nominate your students, faculty, staff, colleagues, community members, and peers, as they are what will make this event successful.

Awards:

  • Audre Lorde Leadership Award (Recognizes Black student leader at UNLV)

  • Dr. Bert Babero Sr. Faculty/Staff Award (Recognizes Black staff or faculty member at UNLV)

  • The Blackprint Award (Recognizes UNLV Black registered student organization)

  • Claytee White Community Advocate Award (Recognizes Black community member or partner)

Please make sure you review all of your responses to the questions before submission, as some of the questions have a maximum word count.
