Art of Politics: A Conversation with Cartoonist Mike Smith Feb. 18

Join UNLV Special Collections & Archives on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m. in the Goldfield Room at Lied Library for "Art of Politics: A Conversation with Cartoonish Mike Smith".

This special event honors Smith, the award-winning editorial cartoonist for the Las Vegas Sun who has captivated audiences for decades with his sharp wit and cartoons. In this wide-ranging conversation, Smith will discuss the changing media landscape and his career satirizing politics for the Las Vegas Sun.

The Mike Smith Editorial Cartoons (1980-2023) collection is housed in UNLV Special Collections and Archives at Lied Library. An exhibition of Smith's work, Caricaturing the Candidates: The Mike Smith Editorial Cartoons, is currently on display on the first floor of Lied Library.
