Administrative Faculty of the Month Award for March Announced

Congratulations to Shae Deschutter for receiving the Administrative Faculty of the Month Award for March 2022. She is the associate director of academic advising for the College of Engineering. Her nominator wrote:

“Shae has shown herself as an asset in navigating difficult situations of advising students on probation or recently suspended and working collaboratively with campus partners. Her level of detail and care that she takes in explaining students’ situations and in working with them to improve their academic records demonstrates her passion for serving our students and enhancing their experience in our college. Recently, the College of Engineering’s retention rates jumped above 83 percent for the first time and I believe is in part due to the efforts Shae has put into the outreach of our students.”

The Administrative Faculty of the Month award recognizes outstanding colleagues who go above and beyond in their duties in advancing the mission and goals of UNLV. Each month, the Administrative Faculty Committee presents the winning recipient with an Administrative Faculty of the Month certificate and a monetary award for $125. Nominations are due by the end of each month.
