Congratulations to Kia Vichaikul for receiving the Administrative Faculty of the Month Award for April 2022. She is the assistant director of undergraduate advising practice in the office of the vice provost for undergraduate education. She has been a member of the UNLV community since 2006. Her nominator wrote:
“Kia's work and dedication support the advising community's work towards the university mission and top-tier student achievement goals. She advocates for advisors by using her prior experience as an advisor to help guide decisions that come from our office, which will affect the advising community in some shape or form. The most recent example of this was the creation of the VPUE Academic Advising Orientation module in WebCampus. Kia took the lead in creating this resource, which is now used for all new academic advisors during their orientation.”
The Administrative Faculty of the Month award recognizes outstanding colleagues who go above and beyond in their duties in advancing the mission and goals of UNLV. Each month, the Administrative Faculty Committee presents the winning recipient with an Administrative Faculty of the Month certificate and a monetary award of $125. Nominations are due by the end of each month.
