The 2023 Annual Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine (NIPM) Symposium will take place on Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note the change in venue! The new location is The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa.
The event is free, but attendees should register in advance by no later than February 26, 2023.
The NIPM symposium will feature talks from the Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) Research Project Investigators, NIPM Faculty & Affiliate Faculty Research, Trainee Research, and Student Poster Presentations.
This year's keynote speaker will be Wayne W. Grody, M.D., Ph.D., a professor in the departments of pathology and laboratory medicine, pediatrics, and human genetics at the UCLA School of Medicine, and a director of the Diagnostic Molecular Pathology Laboratory at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Grody is also a Past President of the American College of Medical Genetics. NIPM believes that applied genetics and genomics can improve individual and systemic health care through translational clinical scientific research, workforce education and training, commercialization of technologies, job creation and clinical genetics services. The Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine is the only established Center of Excellence for Personalized Medicine in Nevada that is endorsed by the National Institutes of Health.
