Michael Alires

Michael S. Alires, '15 J.D., has joined Brownstein Hyatt Farber Shcreck's real estate department in the firm's Las Vegas office. Alires assists clients in real estate matters, working with real estate developers in acquiring property for development, establishing homeowner associations and reciprocal agreements for new and existing residential and commercial projects. He has significant experience in counseling homebuilder clients with common-interest community compliance under NRS Chapter 116 and helps navigate commercial lease review, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, and other real estate negotiations. From the drafting of purchase agreements, review of title and the formation of community associations to preparation of easements and other land-based documents, Alires’ experience covers the lifespan of development projects. Alires received a master’s and bachelor’s degree from Lincoln Christian University.

Alona Angosta

Alona Angosta, PhD, APRN, FNP-C, FAAN, '94 BSN and '00 MSN, is a Rebel forever. She is an Emeritus faculty at UNLV's School of Nursing. She was the UNLV Outstanding Alumni of the Year in 2020. Currently, Angosta is a professor and associate dean for research and scholarship at Baylor University, Louis Herrington School of Nursing in Texas. She is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and continues to be actively engaged with UNLV fellow alumni, former students, research, and academic colleagues.

Christopher Franke-McGarvey

Christopher Franke-McGarvey, '21 BS Computer Engineering, is currently looking for a career in embedded software, FPGA, signal processing, and digital design fields.

Jacquee Lukawski

Jacquee Lukawski, '09 M.Ed. Counselor Education, started out as a high school counselor at Nevada Virtual Academy before relocating back to the east coast and pivoting to higher education, specifically graduate student affairs. She now works as graduate academic advisor for the department of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Delaware. Her favorite hobbies are singing, songwriting, sewing, and writing.

Christina Threeton

Christina (Guasto) Threeton, '06 BA Elementary Education and '08 MS Curriculum and Instruction, and her UNLV alumni husband Eric Threeton, have opened a private micro-middle school in Las Vegas called The Nevada School of Inquiry. This micro-school of 30 is dedicated to creating well-rounded problem solvers who explore their passions through inquiry and wonder.  Christina is a Las Vegas native and was an assistant principal for three years, a principal for four years, and has taught for grades 2, 4-8. She is currently the director of the mirco-school. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, camping, and traveling.

Mabior Ayuen

Mabior Ayuen, '11 BS Business, is a managing operations manager at Mayo Clinic Hospital. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Regis University and a Doctor of Philosophy in financial management from Northcentral University. Ayuen and his wife, Jona Ayuen, have four children, including Nyanwel, Angeth, Alier, and Akuoc. He enjoys bowling, running, going out, and spending time with family.

Lee R. Hocking

Lee R. Hocking, '97 BA Communication Studies, is a specialty courts prosecutor in the Appeals and Post-Conviction Proceedings Bureau at the Maricopa County attorney's office in Phoenix, Arizona. He is a career attorney in Arizona government whose prior work includes service at the Arizona Attorney General's Office as an assistant attorney general in the Child and Family Protection/Child Support Enforcement Division and elsewhere as a felony narcotics prosecutor and as a municipal law attorney. He lives in the Valley of the Sun.

Chelsea Milko

Chelsea Milko, '09 BA Political Science and BS Kinesiological Sciences, recently celebrated one year as senior communications advisor in the U.S. Agency for International Development Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, she joined the online publication Maryland Road Trips as a contributing travel writer. She spends her spare time restoring her Victorian-era row house in Baltimore, Maryland.
