The eyes of the nation – and many around the world – will be on UNLV, Las Vegas and Nevada throughout the 2016 presidential race. As an early caucus site, battleground state, and host of the final presidential debate, Nevada will be front and center in the political narrative throughout the year as presidential candidates debate issues here that will decide the election. UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center will be the site of the season’s third and final presidential debate Oct. 19.
During the Jan. 13 kickoff event, UNLV and LVCVA officials will discuss the impact of the debate on UNLV and the community, and they will unveil elements to support a series of community events and activities leading up to the debate throughout the year.
Event speakers will be available for interviews immediately following the event at 11:30 a.m. Media planning to attend are asked to RSVP to email@example.com or call (702) 895-3102.
