The Nevada Conservatory Theatre (NCT) is pleased to present Mary Zimmerman's Metamorphoses Feb. 17 - March 5 in the Black Box Theatre. Michael Lugering directs.

Based on Ovid's transformation myths, Metamorphoses subtly mixes the ancient stories of pathos and tragedy with contemporary language, humor, and thought. In a series of vignettes, the characters experience love and loss, joy and pain, as they discover the inevitable consequences of their own actions.

Lugering is a master teacher of voice, movement, and acting at UNLV and has spent more than 15 years researching the physical, psychological, behavioral, and aesthetic aspects of human expression. His book THE EXPRESSIVE ACTOR: An Integrated Method of Voice, Movement & Actor Training is published by Heinemann Drama Books. He has served as a professional voice coach for the Utah Shakespearian Festival and the NCT.

The cast includes Jesse Bourque, Ashlie Carter, Ruliko Cronin, Brandon Dawson, Delius Doherty, Josh Horton, Bobby Lang, Tola Lawal, Nate Marble, Garrison Lopez-Quizon, Sarah Rice, Isabella Rooks, Keach Siriani-Madden, Kristina Wells, and Kyara Isis Williams. The production and design team includes scenic designer Michele Anderson Beck, lighting designer Javier Moreno-Bothwell, costume designer Zoe Madden, technical director Lesley Boeckman, and production stage manager Heather Radovich.
