Lezlie Cross is an assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her published articles and reviews appear in Shakespeare Bulletin, The Journal of American Drama and Theatre, and Theatre Survey and the book projects Shakespeare Expressed: Page, Stage, and Classroom and Performing Objects and Theatrical Things. Her book manuscript, The Edwin Booth Prompt Books: A Social and Theatrical History, shows the production and impact of Edwin Booth's acting editions of Shakespeare in 19th and early 20th century America.

Cross is also a professional dramaturg who has worked at regional theatres across America. This upcoming summer she is working on a production of Timon of Athens at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
