Biography

Gary Larson spent 12 years as a broadcast journalist in the Upper Midwest before going back to school for a master's degree in mass communication from North Dakota State University. He continued his education by earning a Ph.D. in rhetoric and media from the University of Minnesota. 

His areas of interest are journalism and journalism education, broadcast and electronic media production, and critical media studies.
