Honors: Yoohwan Kim

Yoohwan Kim (Computer Science) has been selected for the 2017 Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship Program to conduct research at the Air Force Research Laboratory. The fellowship also will support graduate student Russell Harkanson (Computer Science).

The program, sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, offers hands-on experience for university faculty members to conduct research at one of the Air Force research facilities during the summer. As part of this program, the UNLV duo will spend the summer at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico, working on secure and efficient satellite communication protocols in collaboration with researchers from the Space Vehicles Directorate at the Air Force Research Laboratory.
