Welcome Weeks at the Barrick Museum of Art

Far from static artifacts, masks point to shifting meanings and challenge us to question notions of identity. Masking, in the Barrick's Braunstein Gallery, combines traditional Mexican masks with contemporary artwork to blur the lines between art and artifice, self and other, being and nonbeing.

Face Swap with your favorite mask in our Masking exhibition, then use #unlvwelcome and tag @unlvmuseum on Instagram, Snapchat, or Twitter.
