Upcoming OSP Workshop for Early-Career Investigators

The UNLV Office of Sponsored Programs will hold a workshop to train early-career investigators on how to create successful grant proposals.  

The workshop will cover how to write effective proposals for the National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program, which offers prestigious awards to support research activities conducted by faculty just starting off their careers, as well as for similar opportunities from other federal agencies.

Three successfully funded faculty will provide attendees with guidance on creating successful CAREER proposals:

  • Dr. Kwang Kim, Southwest Gas Professor of Energy and Matter in UNLV’s College of Engineering
  • Dr. Min Jun Kim, associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics and the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science & Health Systems at Drexel University
  • Dr. Henry Fu, Ralph E. Hoeper Professor of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno
