UNLV Trains the Next Generation of Nuclear Safety Experts

With the launch of its graduate level Nuclear Criticality Safety Engineering Certificate Program in 2013, UNLV became the first university in Nevada, and only one of a handful in the United States, to bridge the gap between academia and the nuclear industry to ensure a well-trained and well-qualified workforce in the criticality safety arena.

In its January 2014 issue, Desert Companion took a look at safety in the nuclear industry, and how UNLV's program is helping to train the next generation of safety experts.
