UNLV Spring 2020 Virtual MFA Open Studios

May. 13, 2020

The UNLV MFA Art candidates open their digital doors to the public!

In lieu of traditional in-person MFA Open Studios, the UNLV Department of Art Master of Fine Arts candidates are excited to host a Virtual Open Studios experience as a culmination of the Spring 2020 semester.

Virtual Open Studios will coincide with the launch of an MFA website devoted to sharing Vegas Institute for Contemporary Engagement curatorial projects on campus and beyond, including exhibitions, performance, interviews and digital events featuring the work of MFA students, alumni and other artists in and outside Las Vegas, Nevada. The community is invited to visit the Spring 2020 MFA Open Studios artists’ pages at www.unlvmfa.art which will go live on Monday, May 18.

Founded and organized by Department of Art graduate students in the Fall of 2019, The Vegas Institute for Contemporary Engagement (V.I.C.E.) supports the creative research of students at UNLV by facilitating opportunities for arts engagement and exhibition within the community: "Our mission is to advance the understanding of art at UNLV, spread awareness of the UNLV Department of Art on and off campus, and expose the population in and around UNLV to contemporary art.”
