Sep. 10, 2020

UNLV School of Architecture Assistant Professor, Phillip Zawarus, has been awarded the prestigious honor of being named as the Fall 2020 Verna Garvan Visiting Professor in Landscape Architecture at the University of Arkansas' Fay Jones School of Architecture.

"Professor Zawarus' achievements in landscape architectural education, and the ethos of his approach to education in landscape architecture and design, represent for the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas an ideal candidacy for the Verna Garvan Visiting Professor in Landscape Architecture for the 2020 fall semester. He demonstrates innovative and emerging approaches with the use of augmented reality to the planning and design process in landscape architecture. These approaches allow landscape architects to see the qualitative and quantitative aspects of designs during the design process and will be of great potential benefit to the students."
