UNLV Lied Center for Real Estate Launches Executive Certificate Program
The eight-month program is for professionals interested in obtaining enhanced knowledge in commercial real estate.
LAS VEGAS – UNLV’s Lied Center for Real Estate launched its Executive Certificate in Commercial Real Estate Finance, Investment and Development on May 1. The new certificate can be completed in eight months and was created for professionals interested in gaining enhanced knowledge in commercial real estate. Additionally, students will:
• Expand and learn essential skills in financing, developing, managing, and selling commercial real estate projects.
• Learn, plan, develop, and manage profitable commercial real estate projects using proven processes and tools.
• Gain the knowledge and skills required to successfully manage the development process, from project planning and management to investment and financing decisions to property valuation, property management, and real estate asset management.
• Understand the complexities of real estate investment and analysis while acquiring competitive skills to identify sources of capital and other financing vehicles, as well as identify real estate development strategies that are necessary to compete in today’s changing market.

The program is made up of six modules; each module is offered once a year based on the below schedule. All courses are assigned Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and are taught by UNLV faculty and industry professionals.
September – Real Estate Economics and Market Analysis
October – Legal Acts of Real Estate
November – Real Estate Development
February – Property and Asset Management
March – Construction Management
April – Commercial Real Estate, Finance and Investments
“The program will provide much-needed quality education to the growing real estate industry here in the Las Vegas metropolitan area which has seen unprecedented economic growth in the last decade, and will continue to do so as the region expands,” said Vivek Sah, Director of the Lied Center for Real Estate.
Registration for the program began May 1 and is open through August 16, 2021. The comprehensive program cost is $4,250 or $800 per module. An early-bird discount is available for registration received before July 16, which reduces the program cost to $3,825. The program fee covers all course materials, parking on UNLV campus, and refreshments. The Lied Center for Real Estate (Formerly Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies) was established in 1989 by the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to foster excellence in real estate education and research.
