Jorge's accomplishments in the past year alone are quite remarkable- he was recently named a winner of the 2021 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award, a semifinalist for the American Prize, and a semifinalist for the American Prize Ernst Bacon Memorial Award. Additionally, his composition “Adelante,” commissioned and performed by Joseph Alessi, principal trombonist of the New York Philharmonic, was premiered lthis spring in New York City by Cutting Edge Concerts New Music Festival.
