UNLV Flute Studio senior Daniel Egwurube is in Spain this week as a Dudamel Foundation Artist, hailed as the next generation of global musicians! While in Spain, he is working with Maestro Gustavo Dudamel and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra through Dudamel's Foundation to bring together a multicultural ensemble of 41 young players from Venezuela, Sweden, Spain, Argentina, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Norway, South Korea, Colombia, and the United States. They are participating in a two-day “Seminario,” where MCO players will mentor these #DudamelArtists and work with them on the repertoire. Daniel and the Foundation Artists will be performing alongside the Mahler Chamber Orchestra Mahler’s Symphony No. 1, “The Titan” under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel at the Castell de Peralada Festival on August 10.
