The team took first place out of 11 universities from the Rocky Mountain region. The team also consisted of construction management students from the College of Engineering.
The event was held over a 24 hour period. Starting at 7am, teams were expected to have site and floor plans, renderings, estimates, schedules and logistics plans completed and submitted by 10pm. Following the submission, students had until 7am to prepare a presentation to showcase their work.
As part of their design presentation, they created diagrams and renders to explain how their building could meet LEED Gold / Net Zero. Their design, plus the teams accurate estimates, schedule, and logistic plans, took them to first place.
