Two undergraduate IDS students are Calvert Award Winners!
Recipients of the 2017 University Libraries Lance & Elena Calvert Undergraduate Research Award in the Advanced Undergraduate Research Category.
Brianna Cotter, who is graduating this spring, won for her IDS Capstone, "Prescribing Change for Minority Students: Diagnosing Inequalities in Science Education in Clark County School District." (Faculty Mentor: Tim Gauthier). Brianna also took first place in the Interdisciplinary Presentations of the UNLV Undergraduate Research Forum last month.
Claudia Chiang-Lopez, who graduated in December 2016, won for her IDS Capstone, "Barbie doesn't have Bruises: Gendered Images of Anxiety and Avoidant Attachment in Films." (Faculty Mentor: Kendra Gage)
