Student Opportunities for Journalism School's Esports Streaming Show
The Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies invites undergraduate students who are majoring in any academic program at the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs to apply for an opportunity to help produce an esports streaming show.Benjamin Morse, a visiting lecturer at the journalism school, oversees the nationally syndicated “Checkpoint On Campus,” a weekly streaming program covering collegiate esports and gaming in collaboration with Beasley Media. Students produce the program which streams on Twitch and YouTube. The show also airs via radio stations across the country.
Morse is looking for candidates for on-air positions as well as contributors to the production of the program, writing, content creation, social media, and broadcasting.
This is an opportunity to build an online portfolio and network with professionals in the esports space. The show currently records virtually and conducts meetings via Discord.
