Seven UNLV Engineering Programs Listed in 2021 Best Grad Schools Rankings

The UNLV College of Engineering is excited to announce that seven of its graduate programs were ranked in the latest U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Engineering School Rankings. The prestigious list assesses key factors including reputation, research activity, and student selectivity to rank the top graduate engineering schools.

Three of our graduate engineering programs have been listed in the top 100. (Listed in bold)

  • Nuclear Engineering - #28
  • Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering - #84
  • Civil Engineering - #93
  • Materials Engineering - #107
  • Computer Engineering - #119
  • Mechanical Engineering - #136
  • Electrical/Electronic/Communications Engineering - #155

For the U.S. News ranking of graduate engineering programs, 213 engineering schools that grant doctoral degrees were surveyed between Fall 2019 and early 2020. Rankings were calculated based on ten indicators, including GRE scores, student-faculty ratios, research expenditures, doctoral degrees awarded, and more.
